Free Summer Concerts in Vail

Good acoustics are huge when it comes to live music, and sounds reverberating off of the walls of the Rocky Mountains have a certain trill that you’ll feel in your ribs.

That’s right, the sound of music is hard to beat from the Ford Amphitheater in Vail, which is about to host this summer’s Bud Light Hot Summer Nights concert series.

Hot Summer Nights: The Wailers

The 2008 lineup is about as white-hot as it could get, chalk full of rock, funk, folk, reggae, bluegrass and retro and every other kind of genre or label you’d want to slap onto something. It’s all kicking off on June 17 with the Reverend Horton Heat, whose rockabilly fire is sure to have the entire lawn bouncing and flailing.

Did we mention that these concerts are FREE? Grab a blanket, some snacks and all of your best friends. Bar beverages and other snacks are available for purchase at the amphitheater. The concerts always kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. You don’t want to miss out. Really.
