Fun at the Lake in Avon

You don't have to get lost in the woods to find the log cabin at Avon's Nottingham Lake.

The log cabin opens Memorial Day weekend and will stay open from 12 to 8 p.m. daily through Labor Day offering a myriad of summer activities.

Paddle boating is one of the more popular undertakings at the lake. Boats are $17 by the hour or $12 by the half-hour.

The lake is also newly stocked with fish and open to anyone with a fishing license. The cabin also rents croquet sets, frisbees, footballs, soccer balls and volleyballs, for a mere $2.
