It’s that stage of the summer when dozens of the world’s best dancers come to Vail. And, as is custom of the Vail International Dance Festival, the genres of graceful movement spam the gamut, from ballet to hiphop.

Keigwin + Company with their interpretative love song performance, are sure to prove one of the festival's most eclectic offerings. Catch them at 7:30 p.m., Aug. 4 at Ford Amphitheater for a mere $20.08.
The 2008 festival swoops in July 27 – Aug 9, taking over the stage at Ford Amphitheater in Vail, the Vilar Performing Arts Center at Beaver Creek and occasionally popping up in the streets for demonstrations and dance-alongs.
Feature talents include the Paul Taylor Dance Company, hailed for its uniquely modern and incomparable choreography (July 27 and 28), the hugely popular Pacific Northwest Ballet (July 27, 29, 30 and 31), love songs interpretation artists Keigwin & Company and flamenco icons Noche Flamenca (Aug. 4), hip-hop specialists Buckets & Tap Shoes (Aug. 5 – FREE) and The Wheeldon Company (touted “crown jewel” of past festivals, Aug. 6 and 8).
Don’t miss the montages of all the best in the International Evenings of Dance (Aug. 1 and 2), the ballroom closing extravaganza (Aug. 9) and opportunities to teach your own feet the tricks of the respective trades (Aug. 5, 6, and 7).
Prices for events range from free to $17 for seats on the green to $85 for premier viewing front and center.
